Rollercoaster Concepting
Confidential client | A product line of themed roller coasters, virtual reality driving experiences, and arcade games was explored for potential brand licensing, for a major U.S. motor sports racing association. All work for this client as a themed entertainment consultant.
Castle Rock Theme Park
Park Funding Corp. LLC | Themed entertainment consultants for proposed regional theme park to be located at Castle Rock, Colorado. The project site was situated at the midpoint between the metropolitan areas of Denver and Colorado Springs. The venue was specifically evaluated for its competitiveness with such facilities as Elitch Gardens in Denver.
Work included a market study, capital budgeting, and financial projections for the facility. After extensive analysis it was determined that there was not likely to be sufficient demand to warrant the level of investment under consideration for the project. Recommendations were made for a scaled-down approach, more akin to an amusement park than a fully-realized theme park venue.
The Paramount Experience
Ideation and experiential design for potential Paramount location-based entertainment venue to provide immersive brand-themed experience for major entertainment studio. Work included particular attention to “bigger than you” attractions signage design to mark the facility.
Transaction Due Diligence – Queen Mary & Mary’s Gate Village
Port of Long Beach | Financial evaluation of buy-out transaction, related to the Wrather Corp. This assignment was one of the first professional engagements of our firm’s co-founder, back in the day. The work included an extensive review of operating results for the Queen-May hotel, Mary’s Gate Village, and ship visitor attractions. The Port was interested setting pricing benchmarks for a negotiated lease buy-out settlement with the concession operator.
