Show Architecture – Millennium City Hong Kong

Sun Hung Kai Properties  |  For StoneCreek Partners and its creative unit, the objective of this work for Sun Hung Kai Properties, was to create a compelling sense of excitement to the approach, stop, and exit, at the transit station and rail line that traversed past the front exterior of this major mixed-use project.

Recommended conceptual approaches included show systems and multi media displays integrated in the overall show architecture. The “show architecture” design included a 95-meter-long throw span light-emitting diode panel at eye level for train commuters; specialty lighting; iconography; and video projection that uses a new view-glass technology.

aec   Confidential Client  |   We were retained to assist in improving the land use yield for this planned community, while maintaining required fire access and on-site resident experience.  Two primary residential enclaves were designed on either side of a reduced yardage golf course, along with a destination spa and commercial zone.   Project site located in the Louguanzhen area, southwest of central Xi’an (Shaanxi Province).

Backlot Attraction at Wuxi Studios

Raleigh Studios  |  Rapid prototyping of backlot attraction as part of Raleigh Wuxi Studios facility plan.   The big idea to the experiential design concepting was to thrill, amaze, and drive visitor engagement at the backlot attraction retail and image capture offerings and then linger at the major shopping and restaurant offerings elsewhere on the lot at Wuxi Studios.

Starmaker Digital Image Capture Store

Henderson Land Development, in joint venture with Seagram / Universal Studios, Inc.  |  Created as part of the Universal Studios Experience in Beijing, the Starmaker store was designed and operated as a highly experiential image capture business.

Guests were offered a gallery of Universal Studios film, television, music, and video game imagery to pose within. The guest experience also included a Wardrobe Dept. for guests to get more into the spirit of their poses, as well as operator-cued special-effects and sound equipment to highlight the posing process.

A guest choosing a Jurassic Park scene to pose in, would hear the T-Rex roar just as their picture was captured – creating not only a more memorable pose but a more memorable experience while in the venue.
